ABOUT THIS EVENT
The original EPIP (Everything’s Possible in Print) conference successfully brought brands and agencies in front of the most innovative and exciting products and services our membership has to offer; giving the print industry an opportunity to engage with customers, inspiring them to use more print and use it more effectively. The event has grown both in audience size and reach into the marketing world over the last 3 years, attracting huge support from our membership and the wider industry.
The decision was taken to develop the conference into a campaign that would be even more attractive to our industry’s core customers; a campaign to promote and champion the use of print in the modern marketing mix, showcasing solutions that, when used as a fully integrated part of marketing communications, can bring fundamentally improved results and ROI. The name of this new initiative is EPIC (Everything’s Possible; Integrated Communications) and the aim is to educate and support every touchpoint involved in developing and managing integrated marketing communications. EPIC will hold a series of events, with the flagship London Conference attracting an audience from brand and agency marketeers to see presentations from celebrated thought leaders
and marketing experts.
However, it is equally important to support the printers, finishers, designers, print managers, OEMs, software companies and all the associated services that are part of our industry – with practical help to ensure that once engaged these marketeers are given the best advice and assistance to make their campaigns deliver results. EPIC will be the link between our industry and its customers, developing the original EPIP conference into something that our industry really needs; a way to drive new and more valuable print, while educating and supporting the printers who deliver it.
The print industry is technically capable, innovative and clever; print businesses are masters of production and of course, of putting ink on paper. There is now huge diversification in production methods and a whole raft of new techniques available to the end-user customers who actually buy and use print. Educating the Market
Historically, our industry has struggled to educate our market. We know that our work to educate brands will only succeed if we can help the print industry change the way it engages with end-users and specifiers of our products and services. EPIC demonstrates the intrinsic value in the physical presence of our products in marketing and communications. We know that EPIC must be delivered by the print industry in a way that shows our understanding of digital marketing and of the way our industry has changed and is evolving to support other media.
EPIC Main Conference
3rd July, Congress Centre, London
The event will focus on the importance of finding your business “Why” and how to ensure you deliver that “Why” message across all channels in a fully integrated marketing campaign from inception and execution through to results.
The conference will showcase how, when properly used and understood, print can add value every step of the way and will touch on the many factors that surround great execution: data, design, as well as strategy, and how, if these are not thought through and in place whatever the delivery channel—the campaign will not be effective.
